LomoAmigo Interview: Elizabeth Nahum-Albright

Born to design-oriented and artistic parents, fine art photographer Elizabeth Nahum-Albright, or Lizzy, as her peers would call her, got into photography at a young age and continues to explore the possibilities within her chosen craft. Lizzy loves 19th century photographic processes, but she isn’t a stranger to modern methods either – much like our New Petzval Lens.

Read on to learn more about Lizzy and catch a glimpse of some of her Petzval photos.

Ray passed away over a year and a half ago. This is the first year without an anticipated trip out to California to see Ray or in honor of him in some way. I don’t know why, but the realization hit me harder today than it did when I left his house for the very last time in October. Reading his essays is almost like having him back here for a fleeting moment. I can hear every pause, every booming laugh and every emphasis he would give the stories, as if he were telling them directly to me. And something about that is so pure and so beautiful.

This is the last week to catch “Papabear” at Soho Photo Gallery, 15 White Street, New York, NY.

This has been the most incredible experience. Thank you so much to everyone who made the trip to see the show, near and far. It really means the world to me. Looking forward to the next one 😉
